Steven (Barthelemy) Luna is an afro-latino visual artist from Queens, NY. Currently residing in Providence, Rhode Island, Steven has an MFA in Film and Media Art from Emerson College and was the Graduate Student Speaker for his graduating class. Steven’s experimental film, “Cut” won a Global Film Accolade Award and screened at London Experimental Film Festival and Rhode Island International Film Festival, and was presented as an installation at several art galleries. Steven’s first narrative short film, “To Be Heard,” screened at several film festivals across the country, including the Oscar-qualifying category at Rhode Island International Film Festival. Steven has worked as a freelance cinematographer/video editor for nine years, on a variety of projects: documentary, narrative, commercial-based, music videos, etc. Steven also enjoys capturing photos through both digital and film mediums. If there is anything you should take away from watching Steven’s work, it’s his raw, empathetic view of the world, its people, and their stories.
