Who can apply?

You don't need to be an artist or have prior experience with art to apply! If you are interested in community engagement, contemporary art, and serving as a leader we encourage you to apply. TAC applicants for the 2021-2022 School Year must be:

  • High schools students who will be in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade during the 2021-2022 School Year

  • Available during the school year to attend:

    • Thursdays from 5-7 PM (excluding holidays)

    • 3 Teen Nights a year

    • 1 Spring Showcase a year

    • Artists Interviews & Encounters

    • Additional programming

  • Granted consent from a parent/guardian to apply for this program

 

How do I apply?

We encourage you to apply using our online application system. If you are unable to use this system or would like support, contact nrodriguez@icaboston.org or (617) 478-3167

  •  Applications for the 2021-2022 School Year are due on Sat, May 15.

  • Create a login for our application system (or sign in if you already have an ICA Teens account). Use an email address you can check regularly; communications regarding your application will be sent to this email.

  • While logged in, visit the Application Form. Draft your responses to the 5 questions. Create an original work (photo, poem, writing, song, painting, etc.) or locate one you already made. Turn it into a file less than 2 MB. Allowed file types: gif jpg jpeg png bmp eps tif pict psd txt rtf html pdf doc docx odt ppt pptx odp xls xlsx ods xml avi mov mp3 ogg wav.

  • Add your answers to the 5 questions and 1 original work to the Application Form.

  • Finish your Application Form and click "Submit" at the bottom of the page.

Where does TAC take place?

TAC meetings happen every Thursday, 5-7 PM, during the school year. We will be meeting on Zoom until it is safe to meet in person. When it is safe we will meet at the Institute of Contemporary Art, which is located at: 25 Harbor Shore Drive Boston, MA 02110
