Work alongside artist JR Alexander in this vacation week photo intensive. You will explore the camera, lighting, portraiture, and principles that apply to every shoot. Then re-purpose your photographs and transform them into something new or even otherworldly though a process of collaging.
Get into dramatic portraiture. You will photograph each other and work together to come up with simple, achievable concepts and explore the boundaries of a reconstructed image; the possibilities are endless. There are so many different mediums that can be used and there’s no right or wrong way to do it.
By the end of the week you will learn:
- how to use a camera
- how to conceptualize/prepare for a shoot
- the importance of lighting in photography
- and most importantly how to take an image and transform it into something completely different giving it more life
